Day 4, in Palm Springs and off to the Tram Station

So first thing before a 'many laps in a short pool' swim this morning, I thought to get a couple of shots to see how tough it is here in Palm Springs at the Desert Hills.

After breakfast, we headed off to see the Tram/cable car station...
The super service station now converted to the Tourist Centre.

Now that is a roof line!

The serious end of the building... just need a few million and we too could have a workshop like this!

Nice brick work... who is that guy? Lost the others, but that one block always seems to be hangin' around.

 Look hard at the beams.

Then up to the first level where the cable tram leaves from @ ~2000ft to the summit @ 6000 ft +.
More pics to come.

Now that special parking for an exclusive group of Mercury owners.

It was mesmerising watching the tram cars travel up and down!

Then off for a look at some crappy white boxes glued together that was a substitute for art at the "Architectural and Design Centre" in the middle of Palm Springs. Designed as a bank, changed hands once, lay dormant, but now a fantastic building and that is available to view.

Jump here for information and pics better than I can present, (but don't go to the see the 'boxes' here!)

The man who created a bank that is a 'thing of beauty'.

Josh showing Sneeze and I our new print celebrating the opening of the centre. :)

One for the Grandchildren... who would have believed that a Rex would still be in the Joshua Tree park?
Love grandma and grandpa :)
