Next Day After Grand Canyon... Sedona, Arizona, A MUST

Not far from Route 66, (That's pronounced "Root 66", man, we all say 'Routine' don't we? :)).
Our super B&B hostess Gloria from
Grand Living B&B suggested Sodena, and WOW... what a knock out place!
Not only the drive in is stunning, (I think I may be wearing out "Stunning"), but when you arrive, there is no time that you don't see the "stunning" vistas!
The town is build sympathetically to the surroundings, (well in the most part, 'money != taste',except one house built below the most beautiful building. Who paid who how much?), 'Chapel of the Cross' a Roman Catholic Church built in 1956. Check it out.

and more to come from Ray and Jan...

The back/entrance of the Church.
This is the REAL wild west Ray wanted to see.
Not a bad pic this one :)
Just an everyday view from the car park, these views exist 360° from every part of the valley we visited.
This cacti and succulents part of the natural gardens in the church yard...
Some things just brighten your life! The scenery here is pretty good too.  (Just for a reference compare the great house in the foreground to the 'house' across the road from it.
This is should have been a panoramic view... will have to wait for some video footage from Ray "Eric von Stroheim" Pearman.

The natural gardens that exist all around.
Beauty where ever you look.b Note Sneeze wore here 'Cacti blending top'.
A candid shot of Jan and the rarely seen 'in front of the camera' Ray "Eric Von Stonhiem" Pearman.

This time the following us from the front! Street scene in Sedona, check the distant skyline!
A real cowboy apparently... gave us direction to the cowboy hat land... note rifle on wall!
Made me pay up really quick.
The snake skin hanging from the a beam was one from one of the menu's lunch dish... 'Rattlesnake pie',  we had cactus with salsa, it was okay, a little like other 'less flavoursome' vegies...
Sorry for crap focus... looked alright to me with my glasses off!

Spotted these and now need to find a way to get some at home.

One of the many houses blending in, (ignore the pencil cyprus)

and if your in Williams AZ or passing through on a 'Route 66' trip, stay at Gloria and Bill's

Grand Living B&B
Not only is the accommodation high quality, but the personal attention and they share their vast knowledge of the area.  You will not be disappointed, you will see the 'real' Canyon area.
PS, nice to meet Sara and Nick and happy birthday :)
