On Leaving Williams AZ... the last link closed on Route 66

It seems that Root 66 is hallow ground/road for everyone who never had to drive across the continent in slow cars that broke down, blew tyres nor were they truck drivers who bruised their kidneys in trucks with crap suspension no radios to listen to the same old songs, but we had a look around too!

Nice to be in a town/suburb/area that had strip shops! Rather than the boring 'ticky tacky' Malls.
Some good insights into the flamboyant '50s and Modernism...

 Nice shop front... in Balwyn Nth this would be pulled out or at the minimum rendered!

Over done? NA!

hmmph tourists!

This cowboy spent too much time on the open road.

Any one need a good offside guard for their Buick? only 2 bolts and 12,000 klm away.
A local new age petrol head.

Now here is nice cafe... It has an 'enhancement' added on the far end of the boomerang roof, but still good with another rock wall at the entrance.

Still making Chocolate Milk Shakes...

I cant' stop laughing every time I see this.

Other parts of town...

Parked up for an attraction...

Just unbolting the guard while Jan distracts everyone.

66 == 0, it all finished in 1984.

Then onto Williams NV via Kingman AZ... and took this while having a lunchtime walk...

What a shame we visited the wrong time of the year to miss the snow! (If your wondering, those are the insulated fire hydrants.)
